Musings by Diane 10.24.10

Sometimes we come to the point in our life when we have to make some tough decisions. Knowing full well that it is either going to cause us immediate pain, or pain in the days to come. There is no easy answer…whatever choice we make will cause us pain. Yet, we know we must do something. We know, without a shadow of a doubt, it’s going to be rough for awhile. Yet…we choose to suffer the temporary pain, in order to attain a greater good.
“Consider it all joy my brothers when you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” James 1:2-3 This word “joy” means you are willing to endure the trials…even in the midst of great pain because you know & understand that, ultimately, a greater good will come from it. Got Troubles ?… face them with God’s help. Its time to move on with the abundant life that God intended for us to have.

Obama Has ZERO Records Indicating Hawaii Birth

Obama has also spent over a million dollars making sure that no one can see any of his records, from birth certificates to passport information.

Outsource the Presidency??

Just an idea that I am sure Obama overlooked….

Obama’s Waterloo

There was an episode of M*A*S*H where BJ asks Hawkeye about Charles… “You assassinated his character?” Hawkeye responds… “Yeah, I let him talk.”

It was Jim DeMint who labeled health-care reform “Obama’s Waterloo” in July, long before the parameters of reform were even officially on the table, and set out the goal of using the debate to “break him.”

Waterloo brought Napoleon’s long and brilliant (if fundamentally insane) career to a close. Obama, in contrast, has been President for only six months and has accomplished little or nothing as of yet. (Other than getting elected, of course.) In that sense, one could argue that it would be closer to the truth to describe the health care fiasco as Obama’s Monkey Business. Obama’s Waterloo? Tough road for health reform if Brown wins.
President Obama made the theft of 1/6th of the U.S. economy by the federal government his signature issue. According to him his presidency would rise or fall on Obamacare. The people of Massachusetts sent a resounding message “We do not like your policies Mr. President!” It would appear that Obamacare is the first casualty.

Place Hands Underneath for Handouts

KFC ad called racist.

KFC’s newest advertisement on Australian TV has many people around the world, but mainly Americans in uproar over its contents. KFC’s “racist” TV ad is being talked about and debated on Youtube, The Huffington Post and Facebook with people weighing in on whether they think the ad is racist or not.

After watching the Ad which features a crowd of black west indians supporting the West Indies cricket team, with one white Australian supporter who appeases them with KFC chicken, I really can’t say that I find the ad that offensive at all. The racial connotations are really picked up by Americans who have a negative stereotype of black people and fried chicken. I personally don’t think this ad is playing into that stereotype at all.

There have been lots of things that I thought were humorous, but somehow someone managed to convey that it had racist connotations. This one, for example:

The intent was a parody of Obama’s ability vs Palin nobility. Still some people claim its only message is racist.
