Sometimes we come to the point in our life when we have to make some tough decisions. Knowing full well that it is either going to cause us immediate pain, or pain in the days to come. There is no easy answer…whatever choice we make will cause us pain. Yet, we know we must do something. We know, without a shadow of a doubt, it’s going to be rough for awhile. Yet…we choose to suffer the temporary pain, in order to attain a greater good.
“Consider it all joy my brothers when you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” James 1:2-3 This word “joy” means you are willing to endure the trials…even in the midst of great pain because you know & understand that, ultimately, a greater good will come from it. Got Troubles ?… face them with God’s help. Its time to move on with the abundant life that God intended for us to have.

Street Notes: Sticks and stones do break bones but in time they can heal. Words from the poisonous tongue however, can break a heart and the healing can sometimes take a lifetime. Trust comes by trusting in one’s words and actions. To be a light, we can’t just talk about light, we must shine forth as light. Where there is Light there is sincere warmth. ♥

Street Notes: The Yokes on Me. Looking at some of the relationships I once viewed as a “mess”, I have come to realize that each one had a blessing that I didn’t recognize at the time. I ask myself, what did I give, what did I take, what can I bring forth? At this present time the yoke is, it is I who must be an example for Love. ♥

Street Notes: It’s a life long lesson but it is true, ” For we brought nothing into the world and we take nothing out of it.” I ask myself, just when will you get off the hamster wheel of daily concerns? Though I know contentment is is godliness, I have far too many concerns for the frivolous. I know what I know, but I do what I know not to do. ♥

Street Notes: Funny how it goes; the more friends we might accumulate, the more lonely our world can be. There is nothing more precious than an intimate, truthful relationship with a friend that you feel is knitted to your own heart. People need people while we are here on earth and it takes time, trust, humility an…d communication to build worthwhile friendships. Above all is to be patient in love. ♥

All of us have in life have things in our lives that bring us down…depression, illness, grief, relationships, fear, bitterness, guilt…you name it. At times we are rendered unmovable by the pain it will take to get up. We know we need to get up for our own well being, but the excruciating effort it will take discourages us. The easiest thing in life is to do is nothing, but doing nothing is the very thing that will steal life away from us. Sometimes, we have those that care & encourage us. Often it’s a private struggle, there’s no one there but us & God. God gives us times of rest & healing…He applies His soothing balm to our hurting souls. He gives us strength, courage & determination to get up once again. It is time…we need to break free of what is keeping us down & we’re the only one who can make that happen.

Reflections 10.03.10

2 plus 2 will always equal 4. As long as everything that makes up of the fabric of the 2 is equal to 2 then 2 of them will naturally equal 4. Great for math, but not for “reason.” Because someone says they have reasoned something, does not mean they have considered the sames issues nor even the same experiences in order to create what both parties might claim is a 2. Experientally, I dont even know if that’s possible. With reason the sum of 2 is only composed of the sum of its parts. The argument then only becomes a matter of who can deliver the most eloquent argument, whose thought is more popular, or when it comes to matters of reason in the American legal system: who is the better lawyer, regardless of innocence or truth. Of course, it only falls within the realm of “legal” and does not make any requirement for neither justice or fairness.
